1884 AD
Short Description On February, 20th 1884 the church was inaugurated in the name of St. Nicholas.
In the narthex of the church in the lintel there is a plaque embedded in the stone wall that informs us about the date of the inauguration and the high priest of the period who was Germanos Michailidis, and the Architect was Doukas Lazarolitis.
The Christians of the region bore the cost of building the church. A small semi-underground church was in the area where the church was eventually built. The church was built with technical and material resources of the time and place, such as stone.
From an architectural point of view, it is a three-aisled basilica with a narthex and gallery. Two bell towers were built in the early 20th century.
