Short Description The church was built in 1866, whereas the date of its mural paintings is not mentioned. It belongs to the architectural style of the basilica with a dome. A two-storey peristyle runs around the church on its three sides except the east (where only the conch of the apse of the central nave stands out). The upper floor of the peristyle is the loft of the church, which is accessed from within the church. The loft on the south and north side of the church ends in chapels dedicated to Saints Constantine and Helena and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, respectively. Chapels are also formed on the ground floor of the peristyle on either side of the ambulatory of the sanctuary. From the iconographic program of the church of the 19th century, which largely has been covered or destroyed, frescoes are visible in the arch of the narthex (part of the Advent) and some others in parts of the sanctuary.
The woodcut iconostasis is the work of the 19th century, as well as the icons, bema doors, the Episcopal throne (throne), the pulpit and two large wooden proskynitaria. The church at its upper side has three zones of images and a semicircular with perforated design, along the width of the central aisle. At the top of the iconostasis the Cross is mounted. Some other icons belong to the nineteenth century and early twentieth, like some sacred vessels of the Church (Gospel and Holy Grails), some of which have come from Bulgaria.
